Brief History of the DWF Grower Supply

The Denver Wholesale Florists Company was formed as a Partnership in 1909 by a group of Colorado Growers. Ninety-nine years later we are still going strong. With 16 wholly owned subsidiaries located across the United States, DWF is considered one of the country's premier wholesale florists.

The original purpose was to cooperatively market carnation production of its partners, all of whom were local growers. In 1919 DWF added its Grower Supply Division, better known as Greenhouse Supplies.

Product lines that are carried by DWF Grower Supply include the following:

• Nursery containers, fibre pots, burlap, and Braun wire baskets
• Consumer products, chemicals, fertilizer, peat moss, soil mixes, decorative pots, lawn and garden supplies
• Greenhouse coverings: fasteners, greenhouse structures, liquid shade
• Heating and cooling equipment: Lennox heaters, cooling pads, convection tubes
• Staplers, propagation mat, poly patch, batten tape
• Fungicides, growth regulators, rooting hormones, herbicides
• Insecticides (including organics) and spreader stickers
• Poly coverings, shade cloth, weed barrier, insect screen
• Fertilizer, vermiculite, perlite, acids, wetting agents, dye
• Pots, trays, hanging baskets, boots, gloves, spray suits, fertoject, shears, bamboo stakes
• Sleeves, labels, rubber bands
• Irrigation equipment: Dramm, hoses and fittings, drip tubes, etc.
